Second Time’s The Charm: San Juan, Puerto Rico

So I originally published these photos on Instagram at the top of the year, and well…that was a severe flop. But it wasn’t a flop for the reasons one may think. Normally, I don’t mind sharing my photos on social media as it allows me to share my love of photography with others while also documenting my progress as I develop my skills, since I am a bit of a novice. This time however, when I clicked the “share” button, I twinged with a great bit of regret at the anti-climatic experience of seeing some of my favorite moments from my travels to San Juan, Puerto Rico reduced to a 1:1 ratio carousel of images subject to an algorithm that acts like a former jilt.

Now, a little over six months and a fully launched blog later, I feel that I and others can truly view [some of*] those moments in a much more satisfying way.

*When going back through the previously posted photos, I decided I would only share my absolute favorites here. As a result there will be inconsistencies between the collection here on the blog and my social media account(s) (I think they are on facebook as well).

Note: Since writing this post, I have both archived and un-archived these photos on my Instagram twice. Cheers to indecision!
